The wine had too many tannins but still flavoursome. 3 stars.
The bobotie was a different mince dish. I would have this dish again instead of a mexican mince dish. 3 stars.

I’ve haven’t had any South African meals before so it was a nice change. I loved the potato bake, although I’ve just discovered that is usually served with yellow steamed rice and chutney. Oops!

This is a classic South African dish, which features mince with apple, curry, raisins and an egg mix on top.
Big M stayed up this morning and watched both games, I gladly slept in to put some zzzs in reserve for later this long weekend. I wonder if anyone will brave the cold to go and watch any of the games in the city. We have a stack of rugs and the heater all set up in front of the box. Big M recommends Marmite and cheddar cheese toasties for a sustaining early morning snack.
